Can I use HR Suite to send board packets securely to our directors?

Yes, you can use HR Suite to distribute board packets to your board, and many clients already do this.  It’s usually done one of two ways:

  1. Upload the documents through the STORAGE area and post them on the homepage, either in the “Manager Resources” or “Employee Resources” folders.  Information in the “Employee Resources” folders can be seen by any staff that have access to your HR Suite implementation, so unless access is very limited, most clients upload to the “Manager Resources” folder.  You will need to create a level of access to allow your board to see the “Manager Resources” folder.  You can contact us at policysupport@cusolutionsgroup.com if you need help with creating this level of access.

  2. Upload the documents through the STORAGE area and allow the board access to STORAGE to view the documents.  In this scenario, because the board can access STORAGE, they would also be able to post their own documents, remove documents and post documents on the homepage.  Some clients choose this route because it allows the board to upload their own documents, or they want to be able to use the folder system available in the STORAGE area, which is not available with Option #1.  However, some clients do not want their board to be able to do more than just view, so this may not be a good option for everyone.  Again, you would need to create a custom level of access to allow the board into the STORAGE area.

Please note that there is a file size upload limit of 2 Megabytes, which some board packets (especially large powerpoint files) may exceed, so you might need to break up your packet into smaller documents if it is very large.
